Casa Masaccio, the birthplace of Masaccio in San Giovanni Valdarno, is an important historical and cultural site in Tuscany. Since 1980, this historic residence has become an exhibition center dedicated to contemporary art, hosting temporary exhibitions and significant cultural initiatives.

Casa Masaccio Center for Contemporary Art, originally a municipal gallery, has evolved over time into an important space dedicated to research and experimentation with new artistic languages.

Recognized as a museum of regional importance, the center promotes the understanding of contemporary arts through exhibitions, conferences, workshops, film festivals, and concerts. Its activities are enriched through numerous collaborations with artists and cultural entities both locally and internationally.

The facility, located in the birthplace of Masaccio, stands out for its continuous transformation and has expanded its activities into other parts of the city, such as Palazzo Salviati (which hosts the Casa Masaccio in Residence project, a platform for residencies for artists and curators) and Casa Giovanni Mannozzi (which houses the permanent collection and the educational area).
